Elizabeth Mae ‘Betty’ Bainter, 76, Johnson Road, Gallipolis, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in the Hospice Suite at the Holzer Medical Center. Born January 16, 1931 in Cabell County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Glenna Perry Reid. She was a homemaker.

Surviving is her daughter, Susan (Allen Waugh) Wolford, Crown City; sons, Robert D. Bainter, Galena, Missouri, Ronald Bainter, Gallipolis, Tim Bainter, Gallipolis and Bill (Theresa) Bainter, Galena, Missouri; 22 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathy (Kirby) Shivers, West Lafayette, Ohio; a brother, Bill Reid, Logan, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Bainter, on November 19, 1996; a sister, Peggy Foreman; and a brother, Pete Reid.

Private graveside services will be conducted in the Harrison Township Cemetery at South Bloomfield, Ohio. There are no calling hours.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Cremeens Funeral Chapel.
