Nellie Agnes Henderson, 91, of Gallipolis, died Tuesday evening, January 1, 2013, at Holzer Senior Care Center. Born September 4, 1921, in Gallia County, she was the daughter of the late Bert Alfred and Lesta Olive Lathorn Eblin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Woodrow Wallace and Cliff Henderson; by a son, Gary Wallace; two daughters, Betty Coliver and Connie Shoulders; one grandson, Gary Wallace II; a great-grandson, Gary Wallace III; and brothers and sisters, Katie Watson Rossiter, Dellie Libby, Mary Garlic, Olive Summers, Glenn Eblin and Dokie Watson.
Agnes lived her entire life in Gallia County. She was a homemaker and formerly attended Bell Chapel.
She is survived by a son, Steve (Sandy) Henderson of Pomeroy; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Wallace of Gallipolis; and six grandchildren, Deeanna Swartz, Leeanna Roberts, Suzanna Ewing, Chad Wallace, Tracy Cundiff and Shannon Shoulders. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday January 4, 2013, in the Chapel of Hope at Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Entombment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Humane Society in Agnes’ memory. Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home is assisting the family.
