Sharon (Leann) Harrison, age 61, of the Swan Creek Community of Crown City, Ohio, lost her battle with breast cancer on Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Leann was born on July 22, 1951, to the late Norman (Tom) and Naomi (Sanders) Sprouse.

She went to be in the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What a wonderful reunion it will be with her mother. She never remembered on earth as her mother passed away when Leann was eleven months old. She was the granddaughter of the late Arnold and Goldie Sanders who reared her in their home. She was a 1969 graduate of Hannan Trace High School. She was also a member of Liberty Chapel Church where over the years she served as a secretary, Sunday School Teacher and pianist. She also was an employee of Car Quest Auto Parts of Gallipolis and Huntington, W.Va., for 40 plus years.

She married Robert (Mike) Harrison in 1970, and he preceded her in death on July 17, 2009.

Surviving her is her daughter, Michelle Meade, and son, Robbie (Teresa) Harrison, both of Gallipolis. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brandon Harrison, Megan Meade, Allison Meade, Zachary Meade, Jenna Meade, Gracie Harrison and Ryan Michael Harrison. She is also survived by many friends and relatives, including a very special friend, Bette Meadows.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Wood officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Street Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society for the Relay For Life in Leann’s memory.
