GALLIPOLIS — The 2009 Christmas Parade is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Saturday in downtown Gallipolis. Parade units will line up at 3:30 p.m. at their respective locations as assigned by the Gallia County Chamber of Commerce along Upper Second Ave., Spruce St. and Sycamore St.

Bonnie McFarland, BSN, RN, director of the Holzer Medical Center Health and Wellness Department, is the parade marshal this year. McFarland will be riding in the third unit in the parade, right behind the Gallipolis Police Department and the River Valley High School Marching Band and just in front of the Gallia County Sheriff’s Office, so, it looks like the parade marshal should feel pretty safe.
