Garrel Eugene Gladman, 82, of Columbus, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital, Columbus, Ohio.

He was born February 15, 1931, in Gallia County, Ohio, son of the late Clarence and Lillian Cremeens Gladman. Garrel was married to Janie Fillinger Gladman, and she preceded him in death in 2006. He was retired from Westinghouse and was of the Baptist faith. He also enjoyed old cars and mowing grass for his neighbors.

Surviving are three sons, Dan (Brenda) Gladman of Hilliard, Terry W. (Brenda) Gladman and Rick (Mystery) Gladman, both of Columbus; one daughter, Carlene (Stephen) Shover of Columbus; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Carrel Wayne “Jack” (Diana) Gladman of Gallipolis; and one sister, Shirley Wallace of Gallipolis.

Garrel was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Janie Gladman; one son, Kenny Gladman; one brother, Darrel Ray Gladman, and one sister, Aldeth Arlene Gladman.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Willis Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Holley officiating. Burial will follow in Houck Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1- 2 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday.
