Doris L. Meyers, 96, Gallipolis, died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2013, at her residence.
Born October 21, 1916, in London, England, she was the daughter of the late John and Lillian Allston Lacey. She was a retired music teacher and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gallipolis.
She married Samuel Meyers M.D. on September 21, 1940, in London, England, and he preceded her in death on August 18, 1997. Surviving are two sons, Kevin Meyers, San Diego, California and Roger Meyers, Rochester, New York. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Keith N. Myers, on December 23, 1997.
In keeping with her wishes, there are no calling hours or funeral service. Interment will be on the family plot in New York. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Cremeens Funeral Chapel.
