Phyllis A. Herdman, 76, Gallipolis, passed away at 5 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013, in the Arbors at Gallipolis.

Born September 12, 1936, in Pickaway County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Virginia Bowen Calton. She was retired from the food service department at the Holzer Medical Center with over 25 years of service. Phyllis attended the Good News Baptist Church and enjoyed her garden and flowers and greatly enjoyed being with her family.

She married Robert Herdman on April 19, 1957, in Lancaster, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on September 7, 2001. Surviving is her daughter, Lynne (Mark) Griffin, of Thurman; her son, Rob Herdman, Gallipolis; two grandchildren, Alex Herdman and Jessica Herdman; and a great-grandchild, Quenten Herdma.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, in the Cremeens Funeral Chapel. Officiating will be Pastor Eric Fannin. Private interment will be in the Old Pine Cemetery near Rio Grande. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
