Dear Editor,
We live in Mason. We were invited to Rutland, Ohio, recently to enjoy their July 4 celebration. First let me say, the volunteer fire department really put on an excellent Fourth of July. I was amazed at how the firemen, EMS and their families all worked like a well-oiled clock. Rutland as we all know is a very small place, but they really outdid themselves. The fireworks were spectacular. Fire department, EMS and all who worked so hard in the really hot temperatures, pat yourselves on the back. Our hats are off to you, all of you. Thanks for a great afternoon and fireworks display.
