A Gallia County icon disappeared from the landscape along Ohio 7 North on Monday afternoon. Work crews demolished the Kanauga Drive-In, which had been a hub of activities for area residents since Harry Wheeler opened the facility in 1950. His son Tom Wheeler ran the drive-in for many years. The land on which the Kanauga Drive-In stood has been sold to a business developer. Plans for the location are forthcoming.
