POINT PLEASANT — There were 426 people who boarded the Belle of Cincinnati on Monday night to enjoy an evening river cruise.

In seemed there was no place to park in downtown Point Pleasant as visitors lined up to board the vessel docked at Riverfront Park.

The annual cruise is a fundraiser for the Point Pleasant River Museum and Learning Center. Lasting two and a half hours, the cruise included views from along the river, dinner and entertainment by Gary Lee Tolley.

July is a busy month for the museum when its next big fundraiser gets under way Friday with its annual tennis tournament.

Entry forms can be found on the museum’s Facebook page or its website www.pprivermuseum.com or by email at [email protected]

Categories will include singles and doubles for both men and women. Age groups are under 21, 21 to 49, age 50 and other, and open class. There will be mixed doubles as well for those under 21 and open class.

A sponsor of the tournament is LPGA Golfer Brittany Lincicome.

The tournament is July 31-Aug. 2 and will be held at the tennis courts at Point Pleasant Junior/Senior High School. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday.
