Fireworks over the Ohio

The 51st annual River Recreation Festival in Gallipolis was capped late Monday night by the annual Fourth of July fireworks display over the Ohio River. The fireworks attracted thousands of festival-goers who lined First Avenue and the sidewalk overlooking the Public Use Area, which was also filled with cars and other vehicles — and more people. The fireworks and the preceding River Recreation Festival was a bit of a wet one this year as Mother Nature provided few moments of relief during the weekend.
