Jackson holds off Lady Raiders

JACKSON, Ohio — The Jackson volleyball team defeated visiting River Valley in consecutive games in a non-conference match-up on Wednesday in Jackson County.

The Lady Raiders (4-12) were competitive throughout the match, but the Silver and Black were not able to find an answer to the Ironladies in all three games that were played (25-17, 25-19, 25-20).

RVHS senior Jacey Walter led the Lady Raiders with seven service points, five kills and two aces. Courtney Smith had six points. Jessi Steele and Brianna McGuire finished with four points, while Ashley Gilmore and Alex Truance had three points a piece. Angel Toler’s one point contributed to River Valley’s efforts.

Truance and Steele each served up three kills at the net, followed by Jayanna Armstrong with one kill. Steele and Smith also contributed one ace each for the Lady Raiders.
