Julia was born in Point Pleasant, W.Va., but lived several years in Gallia County as a child. Her family eventually moved to Gallipolis Ferry, W.Va., where she graduated from Point Pleasant High School. Upon graduation, she attended West Virginia University and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2005. After earning her degree, she moved to Texas for three years and worked in the food/sales industry.
Shortly after returning to her home state of West Virginia, she began working for Civitas Media in August of 2011 as an advertising representative.
She enjoys participating in her local community and is active in the Point Pleasant Rotary, as well as volunteers for Contact Rape Crisis Center.
In March 2014, she was promoted to business development manager. Her main focus is developing local businesses in Meigs, Gallia and Mason counties.

Alex Hawley - Sports Reporter/Sports Content Producer
A lifelong resident of Gallia County, Matt has worked in the advertising department for the Gallipolis Daily Tribune and The Daily Sentinel in Pomeroy for the last 17 years.
Matt and his wife reside in Gallipolis with their three sons.
Julie Mitchell joined Civitas Media in September 2012 with a strong background in sales and leadership roles.
She attended the University of Rio Grande, majored in business management and became a proud member of Alpha Mu Beta.
Julie is a lifelong resident of Mason County, W.Va. She resides in Point Pleasant with her two daughters and has been blessed with her first grandchild.
Kimberly Is a lifelong resident of Gallia Countya, long with her husband, Rick, and son, Gearld Lee.
She has been employed with the Gallipolis Daily Tribune as a front desk receptionist since September 2010.
She is a volunteer firefighter for the Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Department, which she has done for the last 12 years.
She is an avid South Gallia Rebels fan and has served as the scorekeeper for junior varsity and varsity boys basketball games for the last 13 years.
Kim's hobbies including taking photographs, scrapbooking, crafts. Her "loves" include her family and friends -- and all her kids that know her as "Momma Kim."
Greg Weatherbee - Regional Director of Manufacturing
With a newspaper career spanning more than 25 years, Greg came to the Gallipolis Daily Tribune in 2010 as the production manager. His initial responsibilities included oversight of the printing and packaging for a regional production hub in Gallipolis, as well as managing building maintenance for The Daily Sentinel in Pomeroy, Ohio, and Point Pleasant Register in Point Pleasant, W.Va.
In April 2013, Greg was appointed to the position of regional director of manufacturing for Civitas Media. The change in position broadened his responsibilities to include the management of circulation for the Gallipolis Daily Tribune, The Daily Sentinel, Point Pleasant Register and Portsmouth Daily Times in Portsmouth, Ohio. Also included in the move was the additional printing, packing and delivery of several Civitas publications from West Virginia and Kentucky.
Greg is a native of Alabama, living 10 years in North Carolina before making the move to the Gallipolis area. Greg attended Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Ala., followed by four years as a member of the U.S. Air Force.
In his spare time, Greg enjoys outdoor activities and watching sports of almost any kind, especially college football.
A 27-year veteran of journalism, Michael has personally won 30 journalism awards for his writing and photography.
Prior to being named content manager for Ohio Valley Publishing, Michael was managing editor of the Alamogordo (N.M.) Daily News, where he guided his staff to 49 New Mexico Press Association awards in a five-year period.
Michael, a native of South Haven, Mich., has a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Ohio University. In December 2014, he will have a second degree -- a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications -- from New Mexico State University, where he currently maintains a 4.0 GPA.
At NMSU, Michael is a Crimson Scholar and has membership in Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Michael is also a past member of Rotary International.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys photography, fishing, any outdoor activity and spending time with family.
Michael, his wife Keitha and their three children (ages 17, 16 and 10) live in Gallipolis.
Beth began her career in journalism in 2004 at The Daily Sentinel in Pomeroy, Ohio. In 2011, she joined the staff of the Point Pleasant Register in Point Pleasant, W.Va. Beth is a native of Point Pleasant and graduated cum laude from Marshal University with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in English.
Lindsay Kriz is a 2014 graduate of Western Kentucky University and has a bacehlor's degree in news editorial journalism and art history. Her majors took her overseas multiple times, and she hopes to return overseas again soon.
She enjoys all types of news, but feature-writing is her favorite.
April began working as a reporter for Ohio Valley Publishing in June 2014. She is from Chillicothe, Ohio. April obtained a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with honors from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, where she was a member of Ohio University's chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, a weekly columnist for the student newspaper (The Post) and the news editor for the student's online environmental magazine (College Green Magazine.)
She also obtained a minor in cultural anthropology.
Previously, April served as a news corespondent for the Chillicothe Gazette and a multimedia reporting intern for the Athens Messenger.
Her hobbies include travel, reading, writing for fun and good conversation over a decent cup of coffee.
Bryan has been a sports writer since the 2000-01 school year, which included a three-year stint at the Jackson Times-Journal before joining the Ohio Valley Publishing staff in the fall of 2004.
A 1995 honors graduate of Jackson High School, Bryan has won several state awards for his journalistic efforts and also serves as a member of the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.
Bryan and his wife Stacey currently reside in Jackson, Ohio.
Bret, a lifelong resident of southern Ohio, started at Ohio Valley Publishing in November 2014.
Bret has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media from Marietta College (2006) and returned in 2014 to obtain a minor in Sports Management from Marietta College.
Bret started his career in journalism in 2001 working as sports reporter for the Chillicothe Gazette. Since then, Bret has worked with The Pike County News-Watchman, The Jackson County Times-Journal and the Portsmouth Daily Times. Bret has held various positions, including sports reporter, acting sports editor and assistant editor.
During his time as an assistant editor, the publication won a Brown Publishing Co. award for overall General Excellence.
Bret is a member of Sons of the American Legion at Merit Post 142 in his hometown of Waverly, Ohio.
In his spare time, Bret enjoys golfing, watching basketball and football, and relaxing with his friends.
Donald Lambert joined Ohio Valley Publishing in November 2014 and will serve as a news and sports reporter. Originally from Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Donald attended Shepherd University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication with a concentration in Journalism. While studying at Shepherd, Donald also served as news director of the university’s radio station, WSHC.
