GALLIPOLIS — Two fires were reported in Gallia County near Gallipolis on Thursday afternoon.

The first incident was reported to the 911 center at 1:19 p.m. as a kitchen fire at 516 Third Avenue, Gallipolis.

The second fire, a fully involved fire at a mobile home, was reported at 1:20 p.m. at 1905 Ohio 141 near Gallipolis.

Volunteers with the Gallipolis Fire Department responded to both fires and, reportedly, the Point Pleasant Fire Department was called into assist at the fire on Ohio 141, but, while en route, were quickly diverted to the Third Avenue fire as volunteers with the Rio Grande Volunteer Fire Department responded to assist with the Ohio 141 trailer fire.

Gallia County EMS reportedly responded to the fire on Third Avenue to treat one individual for smoke inhalation. No further injuries were reported in relation to either incident.
