RIO GRANDE — Saturday marks the 36th Annual Rio Grande Cross Country Invitational at the Stanley Evans Field Complex on the campus of the University of Rio Grande.

Eight college teams will be competing, beginning with the men’s race at 9 a.m. The women will run at approximately 9:45 a.m.

The field of college teams consists of Alderson-Broaddus, Bethany College, Columbus State, Davis & Elkins, Kentucky Christian, Ohio Valley University, University of Charleston and the University of Rio Grande.

There are an unlimited number of entries for every school in all races. There will be only one team per school in each race no matter how many runners each school enters.

10:30 a.m. Open Race (5,000-meters) — Open to all except H.S. cross country runners

11:25 a.m. Jr. High Girls (3200-meters)

12:05 p.m. Jr. High Boys (3200-meters)

12:45 p.m. Varsity Girls (5,000-meters) — Red (seeded) — best competition

1:25 p.m. Varsity Girls (5,000-meters) — White (unseeded) — good competition

2:05 p.m. Varsity Boys (5,000-meters) — Red (seeded) — best competition

2:45 p.m. Varsity Boys (5,000-meters) — White (unseeded) — good competition
