James Larry Lloyd, of Patriot, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013, at his residence. He was retired from the Gallia County Highway Garage. He served in the Army in 1965 as an artilleryman. He was an avid outdoors man. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna (Ruth) Lloyd of Patriot; daughter, Crystal (Ramone) Brigantti of Rineyville, KY; and grandchildren, Donald Carr and R.J. Brigantti.
He is preceded by his parents, James and Jessie (Green) Lloyd; as well as a daughter, Lynn Carr.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Burial will follow at the Gallia Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, at the funeral home.
