Gallia Academy to scrimmage Kettering Archbishop Alter Friday

GALLIPOLIS — Dayton area football power Kettering Archbishop Alter will scrimmage Gallia Academy 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Field in the final tune-up before the high school football season.

The scrimmage will be played like a actual game, with a running clock and score.

No admission will be charged, but fans are asked to bring a bar of soap and drop buckets will be left at the gate.

Also around the county Friday, South Gallia will entertain Southeastern at 7:30 p.m. River Valley will be participating in the Ohio Valley Conference Preview 6 p.m. at Coal Grove.

The regular season begins Aug. 25. Gallia Academy is at Sheridan in a first round playoff rematch from last year, River Valley goes to Southeastern and South Gallia will play one of only three home games this season against Hannan.
