River Valley senior Cady Gilmore, standing front and center, became the fourth Lady Raider in school history to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau for her career Thursday during a 39-35 Senior Night victory over visiting South Point in Bidwell, Ohio. Gilmore — a four-year starter — needed eight points at the beginning of the night, and reached that mark with 1:15 remaining in the fourth quarter on a left-handed layup. Gilmore — who had 11 points, all in the second half — joined Sara Ward, Amber Staton and Brooke Marcum as the only Lady Raiders to reach quadruple digits for their playing careers. Gilmore is joined, from left, by her mother and RVHS head coach Renee Gilmore, senior Shalin Comer, assistant coach Steve McAvena, assistant coach Brian Stout, senior Justyce Stout and senior Ashley Cheesebrew.
