CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Point Pleasant basketball standout Wade Martin has been selected to play in the 2014 North-South Basketball Classic on Friday night at the South Charleston Community Center.


Martin, who has signed to the Fishburne Military School’s post-grad basketball program has been a four-year starter at PPHS and holds the program scoring record at 1,265 career points.


Wade will be on the North squad along with Ravenswood’s Jacob Martin, Washington’s Dominique Newman, Hedgesville’s CJ Burkes, Roane County’s Jacob Neal, Notre Dame’s Cal Cistaro, Parkersburg South’s Logan Lawrentz, Musselman’s Trevon Wesco, Tucker County’s Ian Nichols, Wheeling Central’s David Park, Washington’s Kendell Smith, Lewis County;s Jonnie Riley, Preston’s Jummy Galusky and Magnolia’s Zach Willhoite.


The North team will be coached by Tom Gutshall of Tucker County and Don Bullett of Washington.


The South team will include Woodrow Wilson’s Donte Nabors, Greenbrier East’s Rondale Watson, Charleston Catholic’s Garret McCarty, Logan’s Brynden Street, George Washington’s Jon Elmore, Wyoming East’s Austin Canada, Westside’s Corey Bowles, Bluefield’s Anthony Eades, Hurricane’s Henry Sorsaia, South Charleston’s Anthony Billings, Charleston Catholic’s Nick George, Greenbrier East’s Obi Romeo and Princeton’s Zen Clements.


Jim Justice of Greenbrier East and Bill McClanahan of Charleston Catholic will coach the South team.
