GALLIPOLIS — Gallipolis County Commissioners and contractors on Thursday discussed project updates and the status of the ongoing Green Township sewer line project.

Phase C of the project is almost completed with a little more than $100,000 worth of work left on contract, according to County Administrator Karen Sprague. The rest of the work for the portion of the contract may have to do with paving the roads, seeding lawns and general cleanup, Sprague said . Fields Excavating was responsible for the sewer project around Centenary Road and Kraus Beck Road, and along with a few subdivisions in the area.

C.J. Hughes contracting company was about 50 percent done with installing the main sewer line phases A and C, Sprague said. The company has construction crews along State Route 141, Neighborhood Road and others. Sprague believes crews will begin work on LeGrande Road within a few short weeks, if not next week.

Crews will be meeting with Columbia Gas next week to discuss utility locates.
