Letter carriers will ‘Stamp Out Hunger’

Gallipolis Post Office staff and carriers will be picking up donations of food from their routes May 14 as part of the “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive initiative sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Postal service officials ask that residents who wish to donate to the initiative to fill a bag with items such as canned meats, fish, soup, juice, vegetables, pasta, cereal, peanut butter and rice. The bags should be placed by the mailbox for letter carriers to pick up and deliver to local food banks and pantries.
