Annual ‘Pride’ edition on newsstands today

Staff Report

OHIO VALLEY — Today’s editions of the Gallipolis Daily Tribune, Point Pleasant Register and The Daily Sentinel represent the largest single edition of each newspaper we’ll publish this year.

It is our annual Community Pride edition.

Our theme for this year’s edition of Pride is “40 Under 40,” profiling 40 individuals in our communities under the age of 40 who are making a difference. Many of these leaders will already be familiar to you, some less so but that doesn’t lessen the impact all are making in the community.

We thought it appropriate to include individuals from all three counties — Gallia, Meigs and Mason — in one edition because we are all tied together by that one big, wet ribbon — and a few bridges.

As you read through today’s edition it’s very probable someone will come to mind, under the age of 40, who should have been included — and you would be correct. We put the list together with the realization that we’re much like the NCAA selection committee for March Madness in choosing 68 teams.

So be sure to pick up a copy today. They are available everywhere our newspapers are sold.
