GALLIPOLIS — Gallipolis Police and the Gallia-Meigs Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commissions Major Crimes Task Force arrested three individuals Wednesday after executing a search warrant at 507 Spruce Street Extension in Gallipolis.

Officers secured the residence before searching and allegedly finding heroin, firearms and money along with drug paraphernalia from the home.

Law enforcement arrested James A. Sims, 38, and Angela Sims, 36, both of Gallipolis. Both are currently house in the Gallia County Jail for alleged possession of heroin, a fourth degree felony. Mark Childress II, 39, of Gallipolis was arrested for an outstanding warrant regarding an alleged failure to appear in Gallipolis Municipal Court.

The Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission Major Crimes Task Force consists of members from Meigs and Gallia County Sheriff’s Offices as well as Middleport and Gallipolis police. The Ohio Organized Crime Commission is part of the Ohio Attorney General Office.
