Dogs of the Week


Clyde is a a year-and-half-old Husky mix. He is has an updated rabies shot and a spade and neuter voucher. He is friendly with people and other animals. Laurie Cardillo, Gallia County dog warden, sits and has some talk time through the fence at the Gallia County K-9 Shelter with Clyde, who loves attention but also likes to play chase if he gets loose from a leash or outdoors. Shelter workers recommend keeping a close eye on him when playing.


Casper is a year-and-a-half-old shepherd mix. He is a high-energy dog and good with people and children. Shelter workers say he might have problems with other animals, however.


Billy the Kid is less than a year old. Shelter workers are not sure of his heritage, but think he may have some German shepherd in him. He is good with people and other dogs. He was picked up from in an animal neglect case.


Cookie is a year-old pit mix. She is a medium energy dog and gets along with other animals. Shelter workers are unsure of her past, but she tends to not get along well with male figures.
