City Park hosts BBQ festival


The Gallia County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau hosted a barbeque festival Saturday with more than 10 teams competing against once another. Visitors dropped by Gallipolis City Park to eat and vote for their favorite meat dishes. This man practices an established and celebrated American tradition by checking to make sure his food is well-prepared for those awaiting a taste.

Children had plenty to do Saturday at the Gallia County Barbeque Festival with tractor-train rides, face-painting and a cowboy practicing rope tricks with festival attendants. Live music was also played by the bands “Swampfoot” and “The Blue Z Band.” The Gallipolis Car Club hosted a “cruise-in” car show.
