4H group firms up Trunk or Treat plans


For His Glory 4H Club elected new officers on Sept. 13. They are Josh Winters, president; Braden McGuire, vice president; Brittyn Snedaker, treasurer; Brianna McGuire, secretary; Katie Maynard, recreation leader; Grace Montgomery, news reporter; Adam Green, safety officer; and Makayla Anderson, health officer.


GALLIPOLIS — For His Glory 4H Club met Sept. 13 at First Baptist Church. President Bryanna McGuire called the meeting to order. Eden Snedaker led the Pledge to the American Flag and Josh Winters led the 4H pledge. Braden McGuire led the key verse I Corinthians 10:31 and Bryanna prayed after the roll call and treasurer’s report was read.

Trunk or Treat 4H promotional information sheets were handed out, along with the 2016 4H camp dates allowing members to mark on their calendars the dates of interest to them. Club members donated candy to pass out on Oct. 31 for the Trunk or Treat Spooktacular Good Time event that will be held at the fairgrounds.

The group held an installation of officer ceremony. The new officers are as follows: President Josh Winters, Vice President Braden McGuire, Treasurer Brittyn Snedaker, Secretary Brianna McGuire, Recreation Leader Katie Maynard, News Reporter Grace Montgomery, Safety Officer Adam Green, and Health Officer Makayla Anderson.

Meeting was adjourned. Following the meeting, the group made pizzas using proper food handling procedures. The next meeting with be Oct. 16 at Josie, Seth and Lydia Jones’ home for a hay ride.
