POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. — Pleasant Valley Hospital announces the Customer Service Employee of the Month for August is Deb Leonard in the nursing department.

She has been employed since February 2014 as a registered nurse.

The Employee of the Month at Pleasant Valley Hospital takes extra steps when providing medical care. Leonard gives her patients at Pleasant Valley Hospital the kind of compassion and medical care that all patients deserve, hospital officials said.

According to PVH, she was nominated because she will work extra and change her schedule as needed. She is pulled to the floor often and never complains about reassignment. She makes the hospital and the work environment pleasant.

According to PVH, the main thing that sets her apart from others is her passion for volunteerism in the community and her dedication to her church. She works diligently to be charitable and does this without any thought.

In this recognition, she received a $50 check and a VIP parking space. She will also be eligible for the Customer Service Employee of the Year award with a chance for $250.
