Dear Editor:
When did the Ohio State Highway Patrol become the state high school patrol?
I have observed lately what seems to be a new directive being carried out by some of the troopers. They have been very active in early morning patrols near high schools ostensibly protecting society from the new class of dangerous criminal: the teen-aged driver.
I am aware that our state’s economy has been reduced to a trickle, but there remains a great deal of heavy, commercial traffic on our highways. These trucks are much more dangerous and destructive than the young people going to and from school. This activity, in my opinion, is a gross waste of resources.
Please stop harassing our children.
