Martial Arts Center rewards winners

MIDDLEPORT — The fall exam at the Botangas Martial Arts Center in Middleport resulted in more than 20 students from Ohio and West Virginia receiving various belt promotions and awards.


Outstanding student awards went to Jake Roush, Ethan Gray, Stephanie Sexton, Ethyn Barnitz, Luke Nelson, Colin Colbert, Clair Hash, Daniel Brown, Braydon Kingery, and Troy Simpkins. Student instructor awards went to Tiffany Kemper and Andrea Neutzling.


Yellow belt promotions were given to Jake Roush, Claire Marie Hash, and Stephanie Sexton; Orange belt promotions to Lilly Nelson, Luke Nelson, Gracie Sheets, Rutherford Sheets, Webster Sheets, Ellen Sheets; and purple belt promotions to Faith Lynn Bums, Adam Badran, Ethyn Barnitz; green belt promotions to Jonathan Davis, Wesley Collins, Leah Higginbotham, Daniel Keith Brown; blue belt promotions.


Blue belt wired tip promotions went to Ethan Gray, Brayden Kingery, Troy Simpkins; and brown belt W/2nd red tip to Jessica Sharon Coleman.


The annual Halloween party and Frankenstein Haunted House for Martial Arts Center members will take place on Oct. 26.
